Diarmuid Comerford

MySpace

Diarmuid Comerford's music has recently been described as, "low low, hard hard...chopping, changing, beautiful chord structures, fucked up lyrics and syncopation". He started his musical journey at an early age listening to all available music sources around him. Elvis vinyls, Bob Marley and Neil Young tapes could all be found scattered around a not particularly music laden household. A 5 year stint on the piano embedded musics' basic rules and workings while progression on to the guitar at the age of 14 opened up his writing talents. Through a smokey haze of teenage bands came Koesher. Diarmuid was lead singer with this band for 4 years. He left the band in late 2006 to venture out on is own path. Koesher managed to play over 40 shows in 2006 in venues such as Vicar St., Whelans, Eddie Murphys Thomastown, Radio City and The Music Factory Carlow. The plan for the coming future is for Diarmuid to craft a sizeable set of songs through hard work and recording. 2007 has seen him play many gigs around the country including supports to ?The Pale? , ?Aslan? & ?Roesy?. A debut single is expected in early 2008 while the rest of this year will be spent building up a set of new material. Conor Stafford has been playing percussion with Mr. Comerford all year with more band members still to be located. Watch www.myspace.com/dcomerford for more news.
