Eugene Donegan
Meath singer/songwriter Eugene Donegan releases his debut single "Heaven Is A Place Inside" on March 6th 2009. It will be available for download from www.eugenedonegan.com and is taken from his eagerly anticipated debut album “Little Apples” due for release on March 27th.
"Little Apples" was produced by the critically acclaimed Declan O'Rourke (Since Kyabram, Big Bad Beautiful World) and was recorded in Kinvara during 2008. As well as overseeing the recording and production process Declan also plays a variety of instruments on a number of songs on the album.
Featuring 11 tracks honed from Eugene's personal experiences, the subject matter is sometimes difficult but the songs are uplifting and ultimately carry a sense of hope.
Eugene has spent the last two years playing the length and breadth of Ireland supporting the likes of Damien Dempsey, Duke Special, Cathy Davey and Declan O'Rourke as well as performing his own gigs with backing band Geriko.
Eugene’s debut album "Little Apples" will be launched in The Spirit Store in Dundalk on March 27th.
Eugene will be embarking on a nationwide tour in April. The dates confirmed so far are:
