Fiona Melady
Starting out on keyboards with rock band "Turn", Fiona has since been working with acclaimed artists (Paddy Casey, Declan O'Rourke, Gemma Hayes...).
Last December Fiona could be heard singing a cover of "Apple tree" on the Bulmers/Magners Christmas TV advertisement, and it will air again this December 2008.
Fiona's debut album "The Fear I Fear" is largely piano / keyboard driven and slides between brooding, soulful tracks with strong dynamics, to pure pop! The piano and synthesizers give the songs a darker edge but this is always balanced against very melodic vocals and harmonies.
Her last single was described as "a lovely bouncy slice of indie pop" (Road Records).
