Murder Of Crows

The Murder of Crows have been together since 2001 when five teenagers discovered a common interest in roots blues and Rock and Roll.
Disillusioned with the inward nature of music they started a band to bring back the excitement, showmanship and expression to the live show. To this end the band has played over a hundred and fifty gigs since their formation and is renowned as a strong headliner and dutiful warm-up act in their hometown of Dublin. The band was quick to draw positive support from the Dublin music scene and have been an integral part of the Gigsmart community since its foundation. Featuring on the organisations top twenty charting Best of Irish Unsigned compilation (2003) and 'The Compilation Returns' (2005) earned The Murder of Crows national and local radio airplay in lieu of the CDs success. In 2004 the band signed a publishing deal and recorded for a week with producer Leo Pearson (Elvis Costello, U2), subsequently they were courted by major labels including Atlantic and Vertigo. The Murder of Crows under new management are preparing to independently release their debut album supported by a national tour. The band will also be performing at shows pencilled in for Scotland, England and France. The bands repertoire has evolved into a blend of high octane authentic Rock n Roll and sensitive real folk blues. The music of The Murder of Crows is honest, soulful, and fuelled by the bands enthusiasm for real music and real life.
