Kilkenny-based purveyors of power-pop SAVING J continue to tour the country winning the musical hearts of many and bouncing all over the radio waves. The band released their 3rd single KICK OFF on June 27th, with a b-side Friend or Foe which also features the brand new video for the single.

The single launch included an instore performance at the well renowned Tower Records Store in Dublin Wicklow St.

Saving Js second single Valentine set tongues wagging, with the single spending several weeks at the number 2 slot on the well renowned independent download music.ie charts and has received much airplay throughout the country since its release. The single has been reviewed by the Irish Times and Hot Press and Saving J have been touted as One to Watch by Hotpress magazine.

Valentine was the follow up single to the radio favourite Bus Stop which hit the airwaves with a bang in 2007. The success of Bus Stop bagged the band a live slot on Ryan Tubridys radio show and overall the band enjoyed a huge level of National and Regional airplay. The track was officially play listed on RTE radio 1, in the Southeast and was well received right across the country. Last year Saving J were selected by Hot Press to perform at Castle Palooza on 4th August 2007 following a nationwide search of unsigned bands. Channel 6 and Cablelink have been airing the video for Bus Stop on a regular basis.

Saving J have been touring all over the country for the past few years and have captured audiences at key music venues such as Whelans, Crawdaddy, Radio City , The Button Factory, The Village, The Music Factory, The Bailey, The Watergate Theatre, and in recent months toured the college circuit with headlines in University of Limerick, U.C.C.,W.I.T.. The band have appeared on the infamous Balcony TV.com and have recorded for Live in your living Room in association with Hot Press, IMRO and Garagelands.

In the last two weeks Saving J played as main support to Mundy at this years JFK Festival New Ross in front of 15,000 people. Hotpress magazine has described the single Kick Off as 'reminiscent of golden age 90's powerpop, A song which will take them very far indeed'. Saving J are currently busy touring the single Kick Off. Following this they will return to the studio to record single number 4 due for release in September.

Saving J fans will be pleased to know that an album will be in the offering in early 2009.
