Tornado Lovely
Tornado Lovely are a four piece rock band based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and is made up of Gerard Wayne Doyle (vocals/guitar), Vincent Kearney (bass), Clive Doyle (drums/vocals) and Ciaran Fagan (guitar/vocals). They came together in November '06 and following their debut performance in NUI Maynooth the following March they have been gigging steadly. Combining crunchy guitars, punchy bass and sometimes quirky lyrics, they have played with a who's who of top Irish talent in their hometown of Mullingar including The Beat Poets, Oppenheimer, The Fewer The Better, We Should Be Dead and Hybrasil. As well as holding their own gigs in Mullingar and its surrounding areas, the lads often make regular trips up to Dublin to play their own shows in top Dublin Venues such as Eamonn Dorans, Radio City and the Voodoo Lounge. They also received their first airplay last July when their debut EP “Rum” was awarded demo of the week on Phantom 105.2, before playing an acoustic session live on air on NUI Maynooths college radio station just after Christmas. They have been kept quite busy recently gigging and writing new material and are just after spending time in the studio recording a single and b-side which will be released towards the end of March.
