Bright Light Fiasco

Bright Light Fiasco are an alt-rock quartet based between the city of Dublin and the midlands of Kildare. Combining "sporadic drumming ", driving "bass grooves", "edgy guitars" and "powerful vocals", the band creates a "unique and edgy sound" "that has critics dashing for their superlatives 101 handbook"...
The band has released two singles to date,'Red Sky This Morning' and 'A New Way Of Living', both of which hit the number 1 spot in the downloadmusic.ie charts, and no.38 and 41 in the Irish charts respectively. The video for 'A New Way Of Living' was playlisted on Channel 6's Night Shift show. They have received a substantial amount of airplay on both national and regional stations around the country, including Dublin's premier indie-rock station Phantom FM. BLF have also appeared on TG4 and Balcony TV and have played live on Phantom FM, KFM, Dublin City FM and Radió na Life.
The band are a staple fixture on the Irish music scene, with regular shows in Dublin and around the country, and have supported acts such as Damien Dempsey, The Blizzards, and The Coronas along the way.
The lads are currently working on their debut EP, due for release later in the year and of course are always gigging, perhaps in a town near you! Bring on the fiasco!
PRESS "…A damn catchy tune with neat twists and well-edged lyrics…it shows the promise these lads have…a distinctly Irish sound that breaks the usual pop-rock mould." - Pete Vamos, News Of The World (plus Phantom FM).
"A terrific CD...'Red Sky This Morning' a strident slab of heavyish pop-rock that nails it from the off with a nod or two to Interpol, REM and ELO. 'Misfit' is equally charming if a bit more restless rhythm wise. Mc Loughlin is in fine vocal form on both tracks, so keep an eye on him and them." - Jackie Hayden, Hot press.
"With a sound that has had critics dashing for their superlatives 101 handbook and a Top 40 single under their belt, Bright Light Fiasco have created the first ripples of the stir they're obviously capable of causing." – In Dublin Magazine
"This world is for the Living… says it all. They have managed to collaborate their lyrics, moving from one style of music to another. One looks forward to more downloads from BLF. I will definitely be putting these musicians in my diary to see Live…5 out of 6 stars" – www.musicreview.com
"If you mix the New York Dolls, Joy Division and The Pixies with Bob Dylan, you should have a vague idea of what to expect from Dublin alt-rock quartet, Bright Light Fiasco. Buzzing guitars, powerful vocals, and a driving drum and bass section make their live shows a treat for anyone who likes to indulge in some traditional alt-rock…it looks like Bright Light Fiasco are beginning to gain momentum and fully intend to move full speed ahead in the coming months too." - The Scene
"BLF create a unique and edgy sound..."- The Leinster Leader.
"Through a mixture of forceful bass grooves, edgy guitars and sporadic drumming BLF have come up with a sound so new and so fresh that it's a perfect match to it's equally powerful vocals." - The Kildare Post.
